Quote from chapter 17: “When you praise God in the face of your anxiety, fear, and discouragement,  you open up the channels through which God’s peace, love, and encouragement flow to you. That is the hidden power of praise. “Worship is ... entering into God’s presence expecting His love, peace, and joy to overtake you no matter how you feel at that moment. It’s proclaiming that He is bigger than anything you face.”  page 191 That wise advice from Stormie comes from God’s Word, the Bible. Make sure you also pick up a copy of that today too. Put it in your hands and savor the truth of God’s wisdom. God calls us to praise Him even when it is a sacrifice. Praise is a door through which God’s salvation, His help and strength, will come. “He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God.” Psalm 50:23 It’s Sunday today. Let’s be intentional about choosing praise to our Lord today! Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” - Lamentations 3:22-26 NIV Stop trying to work things out before their times have come. Accept the limitations of living one day at a time. When something comes to your attention, ask Jesus whether or not it is part of today’s agenda. If it isn’t, release it into His care and go on about today’s duties. When you follow this practice, there will be a beautiful simplicity about your life: a time for everything, and everything in its time. I will celebrate my Mother and my family will celebrate me! It’s a blessing not to take for granted.
