The value in taking time to pause. What an inspiring thought from a devotional this morning by Lysa TerKeurst
I have paused much too long in making my blog entries and received a gentle nudge from a fellow author.
We all run too hard and too fast most days.
We can take the thought of the PAUSE and ask ourselves two questions:
When peace eludes us and anxiety seems to rule our hearts and minds we have a resource to use and a choice to make.
Listen to the great WISDOM God offers to us in Colossians 3: 15-17…
So often we get confused about righteousness and think in terms of “self-righteous”... the complete opposite of what God calls us to. We know that the Bible tells us that the “earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16) yet we know how far from being righteous we are! So how can we qualify as one whose prayers will be powerful and effective?
This Easter Sunday I am impressed with the newness that the Risen Christ brings to our lives. Being reminded of how His death conquered all that drags us down truly brings us back to the roots of our faith and our freedom. The “stuff of life” can easily distract and pull us away from the life changing truth that is ours on a daily basis.
Today our first grandchild is one week old! What an amazing thing to see this wee one, so perfect and so precious!
