The Beginning and The End
A New Beginning unfolds for all of us in the freshness of a new year. It reminds me that The Lord God is also called the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.
As the exciting and challenging maze of the new year stretches before us we know there will be twists and turns, blind corners and potholes along with periods of sunny skies and star filled nights.
We can walk with confidence into this new year as we realize that the Lord God already knows all that will have come to pass by December 31st. He already knows every twist and turn and patch of blue sky that we will encounter. He who created the galaxies, the depth of the oceans and the mysteries of science and knows every hair on our heads is also the God who will walk with us through each day of this new year.
How important to allow Him to help us navigate the maze. He will guide us as we invite Him too. He will strengthen us as we lean on Him. He will give joy and blessings that we cannot imagine as we trust fully in Him. He will hold us steady and show us each step to take as we ask Him. Trusting Him and obeying Him as He directs us will take us securely through the year with peace and confidence.
Lord God,
I thank you that You are the Beginning and End of all things. Today I give You the year ahead as it stretches before me. Please guide me by Your Holy Spirit. Please remind me to lean on You and not to depend on my own understanding as I walk, but to acknowledge You and let You direct my steps. Give me a deep desire for Your Word which is the lamp for my feet.
Thank you for Your promise to never leave me. Help me to allow You to walk with me daily as I determine to seek You with all of my heart. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
Blessings as you step into a new year with a fresh hope of His presence accompanying you.
