Where I live, summer is short. We anticipate the season with pleasure. It’s a new beginning, a time to put out flowers; to wash the lawn chairs and fire up the barbeque.
Regardless of where we live, new beginnings come to us all the time. Some new beginnings are more welcome than others yet each is an opportunity to find new joy.
Each new day is a new beginning. Each new beginning is an opportunity. God reminds us of the fresh start we have every morning. Listen…
“The Lord’s mercies never fail. They are new every morning; great is His faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22 & 23)
Whatever is happening, or not happening in your life today, choose to view your day as an opportunity for a fresh beginning.
Taking special notice of the freshness of God’s creation is one way to help you focus on today as a new beginning. Our lives are surrounded by plastic and glass barriers as we work in offices, commute in vehicles and live in buildings surrounded by busyness. These things can keep us insulated from the freshness of God’s creation.
